Last Race for 2006 (in the USA)

The last race of the season is this weekend in Fontana, California.  Their may be other races in other geographic regions of the USA, but this is the last one that is somewhat close to me.  As much as I would love to bring my car and drag it, I don't have it in my budget to spend money on renting a trailer and taking it with me.  Instead, I will be heading down to Fontana to help promote the site and obtain some coverage for your enjoyment!  Be sure to check back here for update and check the gallery for photos!

Well, I just got back from Fontana, California and I am worn out! 

I am physically tired, but I'm sitting here with a heavy heart too!  One of the quickest VW's on the west coast had a nasty wreck today.  The car sustained MAJOR damage.  It launched, hopped around hit the far wall, went sideways and then came back into it's lane and then T-boned the wall with a HUGE fireball!!! 

Even though the driver (Pat McDermot) got out alright, there was a somber feeling that fell over the crowd.  This is the first VW show in 18+ years that I didn't enjoy!
