Okay, Sacramento is done, and one more race to run!  I hope to get my event coverage up this weekend, as work has me SWAMPED right now.

As you already know, we're not having the Dyno Session in the Desert this year.  Therefore, I thought I'd throw a pre-event BBQ like years past instead.  For those of you that remember the World Famous Richardson brisket BBQ's of days past, he wasn't able to do that last year, and will not be doing it this year either.  So I spoke to him and asked if I could pick up the torch and run with it!  Wink

So, I'm inviting all my German-Pride.com members, to come over Friday night (October 3rd) for some BBQ and Brews. Cool  My house is 1.5 miles north of the host hotel, the Cannery Casino.  We'll have burgers and dogs, and some other goodies.  Plus soda for the kids and a keg of beer.  (Beer choice yet to be decided.)  If you have a favorite beverage of choice, feel free to bring it.  Once the sun goes down, I will display a "year in review" with photos from all the events I've covered for Bugorama Promotions and German-Pride.com.  (I did not make phoenix)

But the real hilarity will come with the help of all of you!  I'm asking everyone to dig out VW photos of your embarrassing vintage 70's, 80's mullets, jean shorts, flourescent painters hats, metal T shirts, etc.  Even better, find some pictures of your buddies!  Send them to me, anyway you can! Scan them and Email 'em, or through snail mail them to me if you don't have a scanner.  I will return all photos mailed to me.  I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP WITH THIS!!!

So, does this sound like fun?  Let's see a roll call of who's coming!  I need a head count to buy food and supplies!

Thanks! and See you in Vegas!

I know I'll be there ! I am still talking to the rest of the team, but I'm pretty sure they will be there as well.
As long as they get to town early enough Wink

Here's the map from the Cannery (Host Hotel).  If you're not staying at the Cannery, the directions are:

-Get to I-15 North
-Head North and exit at Craig Road
-Turn Left (this will get you to the Cannery)
-You can pick up the map directions from there.

Please post up and let me know if you are coming! Smiley  My wife and I need to know how many to plan for!

Thanks!

Okay Guys, I've got 5 days left to prepare for the party!  I've got a total of 61 people that have confirmed that they are coming.  (Including VW Fans from the UK, Canada, and Mexico!)  Please post up, email, or call if you are coming!  It will help us get a handle on the amount of food to get.  I believe we will be doing Carne Asada!

Thanks!

Now back to my thrashin' to get the 2276 installed and broke in!  ...not "broken." Tongue

Are you working on Friday?  If not, I might need some assistance picking up the keg.  Other than that, I think I'm good!
Thanks!

Well, my new car decided to dump about a quart of oil in my parking spot at work today.

Guess i'll be spending the rest of the week dropping the engine and replacing (what looks like) pushrod tubes, seals, and a few other things.

Have fun this weekend. Maybe i'll see you all out at the drags.

Screw that!  Take the valve cover off, remove the rocker set up, pull the push rods, and install your spring loaded pushrod tubes.  You're back in business in an hour or less.  Git' er done!
