The Southern California Vintage VW Treffen
At the PHOENIX CLUB, Anaheim, California, Sunday September 16th, 2007


This new event will be held biannually at The Phoenix Club, the German Cultural Club of Orange County. The Phoenix Club boasts a traditional German style festival ground, including a BierGarten, large festival tent and grass areas to give the treffen a true German atmosphere.
Gates open at 8am. Spectators $15, kids under 12 free
          Periscope Enterprises and Wolfsburg West present the inaugural Southern California Vintage VW Treffen at the PHOENIX CLUB, Anaheim, Ca SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 16th, 2007.

          In the spirit of the great European shows such as Bad Camberg and Hessisch Oldendorf, this event will be a true “old-timer” VW show, inviting split-window and oval-window era Beetles, “Press-bumper” Buses, Kubelwagens and Schwimmwagens, as well coachbuilt vehicles, including Rometsch, Hebmuller, Denzel, Enzmann, and Dannenhauer & Strauss.


          Several world-renowned vehicles will be on display, don’t miss this golden opportunity to see some of the most coveted cars in the VW scene. A few examples include:
          · Dr. Dick Christiansen’s Dannenhauer & Strauss
          · Mike Malamut’s 1955 Rometsch, 1952 Karmann Kabriolet and 1956 Deluxe Micro Bus
          · Matt Devine’s “finished in primer” Barn Door Deluxe Bus
          · Frenchy’s 1949 Beetle (out of the living room)
          · Mark Merril’s Rometsch and early Karmann Kabriolet

Anybody going to this with a camera?  I LOVE VINTAGE CARS!!!  I'm really upset that I won't be able to cover this event personally because I've got too much on my plate preparing for the dyno session.  I'd love for someone to "cover the event" for us!  If interested, email me or shoot me a PM.

So who went?  A buddy of mine went and took a bunch of photos for us.  As soon as I can catch up with him, I will post up an article for all to enjoy.

I'd love to hear what your thoughts on the show were!
