Bitchin' Forum dude!

I've got a question for all you splity guys.  I just adopted a 63 double cab.  I know you can adjust spring plates in the rear, but how do you get the front slammed?  I love 17's and I want this truck dumped!  Do you need a narrowed beam?

There are several ways.

1. Budgget getto. Pull leafs from the front tortion beam.
2. Send out spidels & have them (Dropped)you can do it yourself if you have a press. (I think KCW has that posted on thier site).
3. Adjustable Front beam. This with dopped spindels would work the best. IMHO

So it's real similar to slamming a bug?!  I never owned a bus before.  I didn't know how the front end worked.  Is there a company that you recommend for spindles?

WagensWest is a good place for beams and spindles.  Nate can flip your spindles or sell you a set and charge a core until yours get back to him.

The concept is very similar to a bug.

Do you still have reduction boxes in the rear? Most people swap RDX boxes for a straight axle kit. This requires flipping the R&P in the tranny or just installing a Type 1 or 3 tranny.

Thanks for the replis guys.  when I go to slam the rear how many splines do I need to turn the arms to drop it 5-6 inches?  Isn't there some kind of ratio for inside and outside splines?

well guys its all for nothing.  I decided the old double cab was too much of a project for me and I sold it.   Cry  It was too far gone for me to spend $$$ on suspention mods when the hole lower 1/2 was rusting away.  I'll be looking for another though!
Thanx for the help!
