Okay, I'll admit it, I just wanted to be the first to post here..... Embarrassed

BUT----- if anyone knows where I can find an NOS or mint condition drivers side door handle for my '56 I would greatly appreciate it.

Well congrats for being the first! Grin  If you saw my post to the other guy in the 58-67 forum board, Wolfsburg West or BFY Obsolete are probably your best choices.

Also, you are the first international poster!  You've won a prize!  Smiley  Send me a PM with your address, and I'm going to send you a slick vinyl cut window decal with the German-Pride logo for you!  (We REALLY want this site to be an international website: Sharing Ideas, Tips, Tricks, and hopefully GREAT parts!)

Good luck with your project, thanks for registering, and check back often (after 10/2/06) for the release of the full site!

Put on the one I got off the Samba on Saturday and MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE!  Those repro ones are absolute crap.  Gabriel rekeyed it to match my ignition and now one key does it all.  Sweet. Smiley

I know what you mean!  I've got a couple of crap aftermarket ones on my 66 and "HeyWilson" and I are farting around with them to try and get them to work properly.  Good for you!
