Hello Folks, I need some help from you. I´m trying to locate someone or a parting-out company who can sell me a Bug convertible body, mainly from the 50´s or 60´s, in any condition. I need to combine this body with the rest of a car at home to get a decent convertible (not a show car but a nice one). I live outside USA but I have all the resources to bring the body successfully. Please let me know, any reommendations or advice is very welcome. Thank you very much.

Knowing the value that those early convertibles have here in the USA, you will pay a lot for a body.  With all of the freight to Chile, I'm sure it would be quite expensive.  You probably will get a better response to your request if you tell us what parts you are looking for.  Then we can seek answers to your request.

Scott, thanks for your reply.  You are right, it will be not cheap at all.  What I need are the body parts which are  different when you compare the sedan and the convertible for the same year.  For instance, I´m assuming that I will not need the fenders because I can use the ones of the sedan, right?  What other parts?  It´s a little difficut for me to explain in detail, but again I should bring the parts which cannot be used from the sedan to get a decent convertible.  Thanks again.  Jorge

Do you have a convertible now?  What year is it?  There are many parts available for a convertible through USA vendors.  Post a picture of your project and I will be able to help you better!

No Scott, I don´t have any convertible.  I would like to "manufacture" one from a USA imported body and from the rest got here (base from compatible car).  A very difficult task but...  On the other hand, do you know any USA vendor of parts made of fiberglass?  Thanks very much.  Jorge
